HomeMy WebLinkAbout20150043 Ver 1_Application_20150113000125 — Varnals Creek Permit Narrative WETLAND IMPACTS • There are Fill in Wetland impacts due to the additional fill material required by the slightly wider roadway and shoulders. These impacts were minimized by steepening the fill slopes to 2:1. • There are small areas of Excavation in Wetlands required to add a bench below the bridge to allow for future bridge maintenance as well as animal passage. SURFACE WATER IMPACTS • There are Temporary Surface Water Impacts due to the removal of the existing interior bent at station 12 +43. There are also temporary stream impacts to allow for construction access when removing the existing abutment on the south end of the bridge. • There are Permanent Surface Water Impacts due to the removal of the existing south abutment. BUFFER IMPACTS • Impacts were extended to Right -Of -Way /Easement limits on the west side of bridge. The utility easements on the east side of bridge are to be obtained by the utility company, however, the permit impacts cover the impacts required for the utility relocation. Page 1
