Inspection Summary:
Inspection was in response to an application for NCG14 coverage.
The plant will be a temporary batch plant providing concrete for the 540 project. The site has not yet been constructed and is
expected to be in operation by March or April of 2023. The site is expected to be in operation for only 5-6 months. Site
contacts have been in communication with Brittany Carson, General Industrial Permit Coordinator, about the permit
application and have provided construction plan sheets for the batch plant. There will be a closed loop collection system for
the concrete truck wash. Any additional wastewater associated with truck washing or machinery washing will be pumped
and trucked offsite for disposal. Wastewater generated from spraying down fine materials is expected to flow over the ground
to a basin, where the water will be monitored and tested if necessary. The water flowing to this basin will only be a result of
water coming into contact with stockpiled materials, and sediment will be the greatest concern.
It was discussed during the site visit that the permit coverage will be approved for the facility and a follow up visit will occur
once the facility has been constructed.
