On December 08, 2022 a site inspection was conducted for the Barnhill Contracting Company, facility
located at 4425 Pleasant Valley Road, Wake County, North Carolina. A copy of the Compliance
Inspection Report is enclosed for your review. The site visit and file review revealed that the subject
facility is covered by NPDES Stormwater General Permit-NCG160000, Certificate of Coverage-
NCG160066. Permit coverage authorizes the discharge of stormwater from the facility to receiving waters
designated as Turkey Creek, a Class B;NSW waterbody in the Neuse River Basin.
As a result of the inspection, the facility was found to be in compliance with the conditions of the
NCG160000 permit. Please refer to the enclosed Compliance Inspection Report for additional comments
and observations made during the inspection.
Please be advised that violations of the NPDES Stormwater General Permit are subject to a civil
penalty assessment of up to $25,000 per day for each violation. If you or your staff has any

Inspection Summary:
We looked at the area around the maintenance shop and all of the drums and containers that were previousely located
outside have been moved so as not to be exposed to stormwater. We walked the site and identified the 1) additional outfall.
We talked about the requirement for have a preventive maintenance and good housekeeping plan for all the areas and task
that have a potential for exposer to stormwater and I stressed that those plans should be outlined in the SP3. Also stressed
the compliance with the inspection requirements for the facility for any tasks or areas with the potential for exposer to
stormwater or spills and the need for a checklist and to document findings in the SP3.
We talked about the possible need for a sprayer at the conveyor for dust control and asked Tracy to be aware of the amount
of dust from the front end loader moving sand and rock as that creates alot of dust. That area could potentially require the
use of a sprayer for dust control.
Im satisfied that Barnhill and Tracy Wilson are working to improve any areas or issues on site and so consider the site in
compliance.
