After doing some investigating the best, we could determine was that it was put in when the plant was built and at that time there was very little construction in the area. We are not sure if this was the company putting in the well or the person that informed them where to put the well, but it was placed on the neighboring property. Our operator while making his normal inspections noticed that there was clearing being done near the well and investigated. After talking to the contractor on site and being shown the property line he notified us, and we intern took the steps to have it removed from the permit. Between the time the permit application was submitted, and the new permit was received the person owning the property filled the well in and constructed a structure on the site. When we received the permit that required us to abandonment be done there was no well left to be abandoned. This was the reason that no Abandonment Record Form GW-30 was submitted. Sincerely, John H. Chapman Jr. Vice President Enviracon Utilities Inc. P.O. Box 610 Tarboro, NC. 27886 252-883-9223
