Division of Water Quality 1650 Mail Service Center Raleigh, NC 27699-1650 RE: Dormie Club DWQ Project # 07-1444 (Lower Little River) [030614, 18-23-(24), WSIII, HQW] Dear Mr. McMillan: ~~ ~~~~~ ~~~ Q 1 2007 ~ENR - W^TF.R ~gL17Y WETIANp,Q A«~ Sf()(t~,~yq~ BRANCH In response to your letter dated 11 September 2007, concerning the need for additional information for the proposed Dormie Golf Club near West End, Moore County (DWQ Project # 07- 1444), we provide the following information: The proposed Dormie Golf Club is a separate project from the planned residential development associated with the club. Additionally, the proposed golf club tract is under separate ownership from the surrounding land that may be residentially developed and any proposed development impacts will be submitted on a separate permit application. In your letter, additional information item numbers (#) 1, 3, 4 and 9 refer to "all phases" of the project. The golf club is the only phase of this project. The entire site boundary (item # 1) and all Waters of the State (item # 10) were submitted with our application. Stormwater (item # 3, 4 and 5) will be managed with grass swales. No specific design plan exists for these features. The entire golf course is lacking a fixed site plan due to the nature of the project; the course architects plan to design the course onsite during construction (item # 2). There are currently no planned sewer lines on the tract (item #6). Wetland impacts were shown on separate attachments with the permit application; I have enclosed a large scale map to show wetland impact locations onsite (item # 7). We do not anticipate any indirect or cumulative impacts from this project, nor does it meet any of the 3 criteria outlined in the DWQ policy guidance that would clearly result in indirect cumulative impacts (item # 8). Endangered Species Surveys • Environmental Assessments • land Management • Wetlands Mapping and Permitting Please call with any questions or concerns. Thank you for your time.
