Here's Ori's response too: Hi Andrew, Since there is no active discharge from this site, and not treatment units 1 have no concern with the outfall being inactive. Do not click links or open attachments unless you verify. Send all suspicious email as an attachment to Report Spam. Good morning, As we discussed, Duke Energy is requesting the status of Outfall 002A to be changed from active to inactive. This outfall is located on Riverbend's Wastewater Permit NC0004981. See attachment for the approved permit. This outfall was permitted if the Corrective Action Plan (CAP) was not fully approved by NCDEQ and further groundwater remediation/extraction would need to occur. Since this was approved (see second attachment), extraction and discharge of this outfall will not occur in the foreseeable future, therefore we are requesting this outfall change to inactive status in DEQ's BIMS system. Duke Energy will notify DEQ well in advance of any potential discharge so that the outfall can be updated to active.
