Permit WQ0039181 Rowan County On October 28, 2022, the Mooresville Regional Office (MRO) completed a Compliance Inspections for the above stated facility. The MRO would like to thank you, Mr. Lynn Aldridge, and Mr. Mark Van Wagenburg for taking time to meet with us and discuss questions regarding the Spray Irrigation application rates. The permit is expired. Please submit the permit renewal application as soon as possible. Applications for permit renewal should be submitted 180 days prior to the expiration date of the permit. During the site visit, it was discovered that the permit had expired. The ORC will apply for the permit renewal. The inspection will be used as a site visit for the required staff report for the permit renewal. Discussion during the site visit indicated the permit may change to a different permit type. In the interim, the permit will be renewed without change. The O&M records were reviewed from January 2022 through October 2022. The records were up to date. However, the records lacked detail regarding system maintenance. There are solids present along the lagoon liner and floating on the lagoon water. If not maintained, these floating solids may be collected in the effluent and cause the spray heads to become clogged. The spray heads were reviewed during the site visit. Some of the spray heads are clogged. Please clean the spray heads on field 2B.
