This letter will serve as confirmation of the buffer determinations made by S & E C at the subject
property. This project is referenced by the Raleigh Regional Office as NBRRO 00 -296.
The features represented on the Granville County Soils and the USGS Lake Michie and Northeast
Durham Quad maps were evaluated to determine their subjectivity to the Neuse Buffer Rule. Three
features are depicted on the USGS and one additional feature is depicted on the soils map. These
features are labeled as A, B, C, and D. B, C, and D features are streams and as such is subject to
protection under the Neuse River Basin: Nutrient Sensitive Waters Management Strategy; Protection
and Maintenance of Existing Riparian Areas, Administrative Code T15A:02B.0233 (NCAC 0233).
The features are delineated on the map received by this Office on October 12, 2000. This letter only
addresses the applicability of the Neuse Buffer Rules. Thank you for your attention to this matter
