This letter will serve as confirmation of the buffer determinations made by the Division of Water
Quality and is referenced by the Raleigh Regional Office as NBRRO 00 -307.
The features represented on the Edgecombe County Soils and the USGS Tarboro Quad maps were
evaluated to determine their subjectivity to the Neuse Buffer Rule. Three features are depicted on
the maps but only one feature is present on the ground. The feature entering the property on the
diagonal from Pioneer Court is a stream and as such is subject to protection under the Neuse River
Basin: Nutrient Sensitive Waters Management Strategy; Protection and Maintenance of Existing
Riparian Areas, Administrative Code T15A:02B.0233 (NCAC 0233).
This letter only addresses the applicability of the Neuse Buffer Rules. For information relevant to
