On October 23, 2000 I met with you onsite to perforni`an evaluation of the stream features on the-
subject property. The plat map and other information was•provided to allow a determination to be
made as. to whether or not the site would require compliance with the Neuse Buffer Rule. .This!
project is referenced by the Raleigh Regional Office as NBRRO 00 -313.
The features'represented on the Wake County Soils .and tl}elJSGS Raleigh East Quad maps were:: •
evaluated to determine their subjectivity to the Neuse..Bu'fer Rule. There is a pond and three stream:,
features. depicted on the maps. The pond has been drained and the feature becomes subject to
protection under the Neuse River Basin: Nutrient Sensitive Waters Management Strategy; Protection
and Maintenance of Existing Riparian Areas, Administrative Code T15A:02B.0233 (NCAC 0233)
near the middle of the pond feature. The feature shown in the middle of the tract is not present on
the ground while the feature to the east is a stream subject to protection through the property.
This letter only addresses the applicability of these buffer rules. Thank you for your attention to this
matter and if this Office can be of any assistance or if you have additional questions, please do not
