Dear Mr. Lindenberger:
The USGS Q ad map and Wake County Soils map were provided to allow a determination to be made as
to whether or not the site would require compliance with the Neuse Buffer Rule. This specific project is
referenced by the Raleigh Regional Office as NbQI O 00 -162. This letter is being sent to you in response
to your request for confirmation that no feature exists on this property.
The feature represented on both the Wake County Soils and the Lake Wheeler USG& Cad map is located
off of the subject. property. Therefore, according to the Rule, there is no feature present on this property
that would be subject to the Neuse River Basin Nutrient (Sensitive Waters Management Strate &y; Protection
and Maintenance of Existing Riparian Areas, Administrative Code T15A0213.0233 (NCAC 0233) .
This letter addresses only the applicability of' the Neuse buffer Rules. For information relative to the
Wetlands 401 /404 issues, please contact Mr. John Dorsey at 919 - 733 -1786. Thank you for your attention to

Spangler Environmental,Inc. is enclosing information on behalf of our client related to any
stream features that would fall under the subjectivity of the"Neese Buffer Rule"(Meuse River
Nutrient Sensitive Watersheds Riparian Buffers, 15A NCAC 2B.0233)on a particular property
in the Crossroads Area in Cary,NC. Enclosed with this letter are Wake County Soil Survey
(Sheet 67)and USGS(Lake Wheeler Quad)maps that depict the location of the property.
No perennial or intermittent streams denoted by the soil survey or USGS map are located on this
property. Therefore,no stream features on this site are subject to the Neuse Buffer Rule. We
request that you confirm this finding in writing for property transaction and planning purposes.
