On May 24, 2000 I met with you and conducted a site visit of the subject property. It was determined that
the property for the Park at Saint Andrews has four small features present that could be subject to the Neuse
River Basin: Nutrient Sensitive Waters Management Strategy; Protection and Maintenance of Existing
Riparian Areas, Administrative Code T15A:02B.0233.
These features were evaluated and it was determined that the two smaller features (on of which is a wetland
pocket) are not subject to buffer protection. The main feature runs south to north from the cemetery to its
confluence with Tom's Creek. To the west on the property, there is a feature that qualifies as a stream, but
it is not indicated on either map and is therefore, not subject to protection under the Rule.
Please be reminded that a PreConstruction Notification and the appropriate fee must be transmitted and
approved prior to any impacts to the buffer. For information relevant to 401/Wetland issues, please contact
someone in that Unit at 733 -1786. Thank you for your attention to this matter and if this Office can be of
