On April 20,2000,I met with you to discuss the above referenced project. This project is referenced
by the Raleigh Regional Office as NBRRO 00-123. The features represented on the Wake County
5 Soils and the USGS Raleigh East maps were evaluated to determine their subjectivity to the Neuse
Buffer Rule. The feature represented on both maps is a creek and as such is subject to protection
h - under the Neuse River Basin: Nutrient Sensitive Waters Management Strategy; Protection and
1 Maintenance of Existing Riparian Areas,Administrative Code T15A:02B.0233 (NCAC 0233).
The pond is not depicted on either map and the site visit determined that the pond was constructed
in upland and is isolated from the subject body of water(the unnamed tributary). Therefore, the
Neuse Buffer Rules do not apply to the pond. The appropriated buffer has been delineated on the
plat map received by this Office on March 30,2000.
