Subject: Neuse River Basin Riparian Buffer Rules
NBRRO 00 -131
Buffalo Road Athletic Park
Wake County
Dear Mr. Romano:
On April 28, 2000, I met with you at the subject property to conduct a site visit for the above
referenced project. This project is referenced by the Raleigh Regional Office as NBRRO 00 -131.
At your request, an evaluation was performed to determine if the features indicated on the Wake
County Soils and USGS map would require compliance with the Neuse River Basin: Nutrient
Sensitive Waters Management Strategy; Protection and Maintenance of Existing Riparian Areas,
Administrative Code T15A:02B.0233 (NCAC 0233).
As a result, it was determined that the features are at least intermittent streams and therefore subject
to the Neuse Buffer Rules. This letter addresses only the issue of riparian buffers. For information
relevant to 401 and/or wetland issues, please call 733 -1786.
Thank you for your attention to this matter and if this Office can be of any assistance or if you have
additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Sincerely,
Steve Mitchell

Dear Mr. Mitchell:
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for meeting my colleagues and
myself on -site last Friday. As per our field meeting on April 28, 2000, I am
submitting to you the survey of the on -site jurisdictional stream locations with 50
foot buffers as discussed. It is my understanding that a 401 Certification for the
on -site stream delineation will be issued upon approval of this survey.
If you have any questions or require any additional information please call me at
(919) 677 -2248.
Very truly yours,
