Continuous flow monitoring vs. instantaneous flow monitoring
Lake Norman Motel
NPDES Permit No. NC0064599
Catawba County
The subject facility is requesting that the continuous monitoring device be changed
to instantaneous monitoring device because it does not generate enough flow to properly
operate the device. The recommendation for the installation of a continuous flow
monitoring device was made in the 1990 MRO staff report by Kim Colson. Perhaps
additional site inspections have determined that an instantaneous device will now be
acceptable. If this matter has not already been resolved, we recommend that the Regional
Office have the final decision for this situation.
