Christine, hope you are doing well. Earlier in the year, Smithfield sent an application to the Division for coverage under
the N.C. Swine Digester General Permit for the Benson Farm, Facility number 31-29 in Duplin County. By way of this
email, I would like to withdraw the General Permit application. We will operate the Benson digester under the existing
Digester General Permit. If there are questions, or there is a more formal process for this request, please let me know.
