I’ve reviewed your application requesting a Corps GP 291 for sand excavation and dune construction as necessary to
protect NC 12 just south of New Inlet in Dare County.
Water Quality Certification No. 3900 is issued for these activities (DWR project # 14-1219). Written approval is not
required provided the thresholds listed in a) ii) are not exceeded and that all the
conditions in the certification can be met. If any of the conditions cannot be met, written approval may be required. Let
