Reverification of this project is requested. The project has been Let and Awarded. Construction will start very
soon but work in Waters of the US will not be completed until after March 18, 2023 when the "grandfathering" of
previously issued permits will terminate.
The previously issued 404 and 401 Permits (Permit Package) and Application Package are attached. Action ID:
SAW-2017-00853. DWQ project Number: 20200306.
There have been no changes to design or impacts since the previously issued permits and the plans
submitted with the original application package remain accurate and valid.
Section 7 issues remain unchanged with No Effect for all listed aquatic species per IPaC. The BC for NLEB
remains MA-NLAA and Michaux's sumac remains No Effect (most recent survey in June 2021) .
Archaeology: No National Register of Historic Places Eligible or Listed Archaeological Sites Present form
signed on 8/30/19.
Historic Structure: Assessment of Effects signed on 3/12/19. Commitments are still valid and will be adhered to
during construction (use of 2-bar rail, limit tree clearing and place crane outside historic boundary).
Catawba Indian Nation: Response has been received on 11/22/2019
NCDOT is hereby requesting reverification under RGP 50.
