Mr. Tankard:

In response to NOV-2022-LV-0787, over the past few months we have been able to acquire
contractors and contracts to correct treatment plant issues and have begun to get corrections underway.
Although it has taken longer than expected any corrections, we could do ourselves we are taking care of
in house. We have begun preparing the plant for programming and major electrical corrections. We
anticipate improvements in effluent quality that will be reflected in Monitoring Well concentration levels. I
have also contacted Aqua Fix Inc., to aide in a Microanalysis treatment program to improve effluent
quality throughout the repair process to maximize efficiency moving forward. This is a major step along
with the assistance of Custom Controls Unlimited, Gopher Utility Services, Hydro Structures and 419
Group. With the result of being basically left out to dry by F.R. Mahony the plant is being rehabbed and
simplified as much as possible within limitation without having to request permit changes. These
corrections are already being implemented and not a matter of if or when they will begin and will be a
great improvement in maintenance and operations. If we are permitted to use all funding resources
available that would otherwise be used to pay out in penalties it would be added to cover the expenses in
continuing to make other needed corrections throughout the treatment process.
