Dear Mr. Tencer:
Ron Boone, of the North Carolina Division of Water Resources (NCDWR), Winston-Salem Regional Office
(WSRO), conducted a compliance evaluation inspection of the Town of Haw River's wastewater collection
system on September 8th, 2022. Robert Brewer, Glen Tufts, Matt Strange, and Jody Jarrett, were all
present for the inspection. Inspection findings are detailed in the attached Compliance Inspection Report.
Please be aware that the Division may take enforcement action against any permittee who fails to comply
with any requirement of their permit. Pursuant to NC General Statute (NCGS) 143-215.6A, a civil penalty
of not more than twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000.00) may be assessed against any person who
violates or fails to act in accordance with the terms, conditions, or requirements of any permit issued
pursuant to G.S. 143-215.1.

Inspection Summary:
Ron Boone, of the NC Division of Water Resources (DWR), Winston-Salem Regional Office (WSRO), conducted a
compliance evaluation inspection of the Haw River wastewater collection system on September 8th, 2022.
Glen Tufts, Robert Brewer, Matt Strange, and Jody Jarrett, were present for the inspection.
The following checklist details the findings of the inspection. Deficiencies noted during the inspection are enumerated below:
- Not all potentially grease -producing establishments beyond restaurants, i.e. nursing homes, jails, schools, etc, have been
evaluated for the need of, presence of, and/or proper operation and maintenance of an existing grease trap..
No other deificiencies or violations were noted during the inspection.
