Explain the purpose of the proposed project: The purpose of the project is to increase capacity and reduce congestion on Gallimore Dairy Road (SR 1556). 4i. Describe the overall project in detail, including indirect impacts and the type of equipment to be used: Widen and improve Gallimore Dairy Road (SR 1556) from NC 68 to Airpark Drive (Approximately 1.1 miles long). This section of road is currently two to three lanes and will be widened to five lanes. The typical section includes five 12' lanes with a center turn lane along the corridor.
