The purpose of this inspection was to ensure compliance with the conditions and limitations specified in Non -discharge Permit No. WQ0018489. During the inspection, the cooperation and assistance of Josh Cummings, Jarrod Buchanan, Rick Jordan, and Jenny Exum was greatly appreciated. This compliance evaluation inspection consisted of the following: Review of the permit, - Review of ORC logbooks, calibration documentation, non -discharge monitoring reports (NDMRs), and On -site inspection of the treatment components. Reclaimed water is generated by the South Cary WRF (permit NC0065102). Reclaimed water is distributed through the Town of Cary's local program (covered in permit WQ0017923), which is approved for conjunctive utilization activities such as residential irrigation, non-residential irrigation, industrial uses, and bulk distribution. The current permit was issued September 10, 2019 and expires November 30, 2025. The renewal application shall be submitted to the Division by June 3, 2025. Components of the reclaimed water system appeared to be very well -maintained. Permit requirements for labeling and color -coding of the various components of the reclaimed system were being met. The monitoring equipment appeared to be well maintained and functioning properly. The chlorination equipment appeared to be in good condition, and plenty of hypochlorite solution is maintained on site. The reclaimed water system flow meter is calibrated annually and was last calibrated February 2, 2022. System turbidimeters are calibrated on a monthly basis and were last calibrated on September 26, 2022. A review of records was conducted during the inspection. Operation and maintenance logs are organized and thorough. NDMR records are submitted in a timely manner. Lab results were compared to NDMR forms for January and June 2022, and no discrepancies were noted. The 2021 reclaimed water annual report was submitted to the Division on January 21, 2022. Educational materials for employees and reclaimed water users were reviewed and found to be meeting permit requirements. The Reclaimed Water Generation System appears to be compliant with permit requirements.
