Windfare Condominums LLC and State Permit # 123-18
Please find correspondence enclosed dated July 14, 2022 from Mr. Doug Watkins, of
Edgewater Marine Construction, requesting a permit modification. State Permit #123-18
was issued for condo and dock construction at 402 Old Causeway Road adjacent to Bogue
Sound, Carteret County. The permit expires on December 31, 2023.
The request by the permittee is to add a floating staging platform. The proposed platform
would be 8' wide and 160' long. It would be sited immediately adjacent to the bulkhead
and connect to the high ground on both ends via gangway attached to S' by 16' fixed piers.
The purpose of the floating platform would be to support the safe temporary staging
activities of the condo residents and guests during peak periods of boating activity.
The Morehead City District staff would recommend approval of the proposed platform
addition as being consistent with the current conditions of permit # 123-18. A processing
fee of $100 (check # 1604) has been received in order to process the request.
