Dear Mr. Rogers:
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has concluded its review of the Total Maximum Daily Load
(TMDL) for Fecal Coliform Bacteria in Turkey Creek in the White Oak River Basin report as submitted
by electronic mail on October 4, 2022 by the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality.
Based upon our review, we have determined that the statutory requirements of the Clean Water Act
section 303(d) have been met and hereby approve this TMDL.
The enclosed decision document summarizes the elements of the review which were found to support
the EPA’s approval of the TMDL. If you have any comments or questions relating to this approval or
