Correct - it is 8'x 10'. I have attached the engineer's design for your review.

One last question! Are you sure the deck is not 8’ x 12’ instead of 8’ x 10’?

The project also includes an 8" x 10" deck attached to the screened porch. It is going across the rear of the house and not expanding further into the rear of the property. So it
would be 272 sq. ft.

Thank you, Michaele. So just for confirmation, you need a Buffer Authorization for 192 square feet in Zone 2. If you could confirm, I’d appreciate it, and thank you for your help.

Hi Cherri,
We are not expanding further into the rear of the property. The current deck is 16' x 12" and we are using the same footprint for the screened-in porch. We are in Zone2 only. I
think there may have been confusion around the Zones. I believe they did not know it was divided into 2 zones. I am attaching the plot plan for your reference with the proposed project.
Thanks for the email.

Hi Michaele,
I was just reviewing the Buffer Authorization Application you submitted for 427 Warren Ave. in Coronado Village. Are you aware that the 50-foot buffer is made up of a Zone 1 and
Zone 2. Zone 1 is the 30 feet closest to the stream and Zone 2 is the outer 20 feet. To me it looks like screened porch and deck are in Zone 2 of the buffer. It makes a difference
because it they’re in Zone 2, no mitigation is required. If you could just confirm or not confirm my interpretation, I’d really appreciate it. Thank you.
I’ve attached an example of an impact map with the two zones indicated to give you a visual of what I’m talking about.
