I spoke with Austin Lepeard with FedEx this morning about the subject No Exposure application. The FedEx - RWIA
facility is located at 4908 Caswell Place in Wilson County, but already has a No Exposure under NCGNE1189 issued on
9/14/2017 out of the Raleigh Regional Office. Likewise, the FedEx facility located at 165 Airport Road in Cumberland
County is covered under NCGNE1170 issued on 11/30/2016. The application received on October 13, 2022 for the FedEx
- RWIA facility was submitted inadvertently because they thought the No Exposure expired this year. I explained to
Austin that the No Exposure Certifications no longer expire (they used to after five years and had to be renewed), but
require the completion of an annual self-recertification. Therefore, the subject application can be withdrawn/returned.

I’ve attached a copy of the permit summary report for the RWIA facility in Wilson County as well as the FAYA facility in
Cumberland County, which show Karen Ellis as the responsible official. So, there is no need to submit an owner
affiliation change as we discussed over the phone. I have also included a link below to our No Exposure Certification
webpage where you can access the Annual Self-Recertification Form.
