The Fecal Coliform Samples from Statesville Analytical Sample IDs 130124-20.1, 130124-20.2, 130124-20.3, 130124-20.4, 13019-36.1, 13019-36.2, 13019-36.3 were taken from Aerobic Digester No. 1 and is labeled with a blue X (J% on the diagram. The Volatile Solids In Sample C2 Sample ID 130220-19 was taken from where the solids from the clarifier are pumped to the aerobic digesters and is labeled with a green X ()0 on the diagram. The Volatile Solids Out Samples D2 Sample ID 130220-21 was taken from Aerobic Digester No. 1 and is labeled with a blue X (W on the diagram. The TCLP test Sample ID 13 019-3 5 was taken from Aerobic Digester No.I and is labeled with a blue X (A on the diagram. In 1999, county -based representatives of each of the above -named organizations were asked to collect yield data and make a reasoned judgement of the yields for various crops on each of the soils occurring in their county. These data were collected from 87 responses, representing 93 counties. The data were then compared with available research data and intensively reviewed by a panel of field agronomists, soil scientists and researchers familiar with the soils, crops and climatic conditions in each region. In reviewing the data, the following assumptions were made: 1. Realistic Yield Expectations should be based on the average of the best 3 years in a 5 year period which could be achieved with a high level of management (top 20% of growers) 2. For soils that may be mapped in multiple regions or in slightly different landscapes (for example, flood plains or stream terraces), the Realistic Yields are based on the most common prevailing conditions for that soil rather than the most ideal site for agricultural production. 3. For soils that are Somewhat Poorly, Poorly, or Very Poorly Drained, effective artificial drainage MUST be in place to achieve the yields shown in the RYE tables. 4. For tobacco production in the Piedmont physiographic, irrigation was assumed to be available, whereas no irrigation was assumed in the Coastal Plain physiographic region. This is in accordance with numerous surveys which show less than 15%-20% of tobacco in the Coastal Plain is irrigated, while 70 to 80% of tobacco in the Piedmont receives some irrigation Citation: North Carolina Nutrient Management Workgroup. 2003. For best results, mix the lime into the top 6 to 8 inches of soil several months before planting. BS% % CEC occupied by basic cations For no -till or established plantings where this is not possible, apply no more than 1 to 1.5 ton/acre (50 Ib/1000 sq ft) at Ca% % CEC occupied by calcium one time, even if the report recommends more. You can apply the rest in similar increments every six months until the CEC cation exchange. capacity full rate is applied. If MG is recommended and lime is needed, use dolomitric lime. Cu-I copper index ESP exchangeable sodium percent Fertilizer HM% percent humic matter Recommendations for field crops or otherlarge areas are listed separately for each nutrient to be added (in units of K-1 potassium index lb/acre unless otherwise specified). Recommendations for N (arid sometimes for B) are based on research/field studies K20 potash for the crop being grown, not on soil test results. K-1 and P-1 values are based on test results and should be > 50. If they Mg% % CEC occupied by magnesium are not, follow the fertilizer recommendations given. If Mg is needed and no lime is recommended, 0-0-22 (11.5% Mg) is are mineral soil class an excellent source; 175 to 250 lb per acre alone or in a fertilizer blend will usually satisfy crop needs, SS-1 levels appear Mn manganese only on reports for greenhouse soil or problem samples.
