Ben —Just got your message. For the easement, a 10' offset from the walls and energy dissipator should suffice. Thanks.

Ben — Nice speaking with you this morning. Here are the two items I needed to get back with you on:
1. A spillway in the dam is not required if the riser is sized to handle the 100-yr event. However, we do recommend
a spillway be provided in the event the riser clogs.
2. As currently shown, the public DE shown for the box culvert under Hasse Ave. does not allow for adequate space
for future maintenance. Please provide a larger easement that will provide space for equipment access, similar
to that shown for the culvert under Water Tower Ln. As you stated, DIMS is not currently accepting mitigation
payments in the Lower New Hope watershed, but there are other mitigation options available in Sect. 6.1.14.0
of the UDO. We cannot deviate from the needed easement size only based on the lack of one type of mitigation
available.
Please let us know if you want to discuss further. Thanks.
