This is a National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF) and NC Land and Water funded wetland, floodplain, and stream
restoration project on land owned by Conserving Carolinas in Henderson County.
See attached conceptual level plan for reference. Project components include converting a former floodplain pond into a
muskie habitat zone, wetland enhancement and creation, bank stabilization on the French Broad River, and stream
restoration on Little Willow Creek and unnamed tributaries.
