Inspection Summary:
Site visit conducted in response to submittal of NOI for coverage under the NCG060000 Stormwater General Permit for
Warehousing, Food and Kindred. Met with Kirk Spicer, Senior Regional Environmental Manager, to review application
information, discuss facility operations and provide general overview of permit conditions. Regarding industrial activities
draining to outfall 001; vehicle washing will be conducted onsite by a contracted company who will capture and recover all
wash water, there is to be no onsite oil changes for vehicles, equipment maintenance will be conducted as needed with less
than 55 gallons of oil used per month on average. Application indicates three stormwater discharge outfalls, however
drainage to outfall 003 is from employee parking only and therefore would not need to be monitored. Per Mr. Spicer,
construction activities are still occurring inside the building and facility operations will likely not commence until sometime
next year. Site observations were made including the stormwater outfalls, proposed sampling points and the location
identified on the site map as mobile maintenance/washing/fueling area. Staff with the Fayetteville Regional Office have no
objections to issuance of coverage under the NCG060000 General Permit.
