Per my conversations that I had with Nathaniel this morning, we were OK with the T2 provisions that he was concerned - specifically setbacks. Just to double check, can you all have Raleigh review the drawing we gave them to confirm. The drawing are labeled C2 and C3. These show the tank location and the associated tie-ins. However, Campbell Soup does need to realize that if our review indicates the basin needs to be moved, then they will have to relocate the basin to meet 02T rules. The letter contains the requests from Raleigh for the equalization tank modification for our spray irrigation permit. We went to Raleigh on Tuesday for a review of an expedited change of our Spray Irrigation Permit. In the original discussions with DENR, we did not think that we would have to modify our permit to install an EQ tank, subsequent discussions said that we had to modify the permit. As we were using a pre -engineering tank, have had an engineering company design the requirements for"piping/foundations, and have worked with a consultant on the aeration requirements, we were expecting to get approval that day. What we submitted is what we have used to bid out the construction of the tank.As you know, we have an aggressive schedule for installing the tank and were aiming to complete the installation of the tank before the end of November and use it this wet season. I would appreciate your help in assisting us to resolve as quickly as possible. We would prefer to use the drawings as submitted as the design basis for the modification and supplement this material where there are questions. If the only path forward is a complete document containing specifications of everything, we will take the time to prepare this, but this would be for Raleigh's benefit only - what we have submitted is sufficient to build and hold contractors accountable and meet' our internal construction requirements. I look forward to any assistance you can provide. It is my understanding that he would like a specifications prepared by a NC PE for the tank, earthwork, piping, fencing, erosion control, grassing, equipment such as aerators, pumps, level control, electrical panels, conduits, etc. He is looking for a full blown document. We will work on an estimate for us to prepare the items designed by us which includes, the earthwork, piping, equipment vaults, valves, erosion control, fencing and the aerator platforms. Are you going to incorporate them into one document? Do you have someone to do the electrical design/specifications? David, Per our discussion yesterday afternoon, please contact Mr. Thornburg and maybe Mr. Hayes with NCDENR, Raleigh. They were asking for specifications that accompanies the dwg set. I explained that the dwgs were containedsufficient detail to complete installation. I expect Mr Thornburg was expecting something along the lines of what you see for example when a building is constructed, with a Spec set containing Sections for Demo, Insulation, Hardware, Mechanical, Electrical etc... I do not want to go to this level of detail if at all possible as I believe the DWGs are sufficient for the scale and complexity of this job, -I think you agree, and I am hopeful that they can be made comfortable with this fact. Call Mr. Thornburg, then, lets discuss what specifically he is expecting. 1 I.know you will have some time involved in this no matter what the out some. Lets discuss this after you talk to DENR.
