Federal Aid Project No. BRZ- 1531(5), TIP No. B-4681, Debit $240 from WBS Element 38465.1.2 The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) proposes to replace the 35-foot, 2- span Bridge No. 119 with a 55-foot, single-span bridge on the existing alignment. Traffic will follow an offsite detour during construction. Permanent impacts to jurisdictional resources include < 0.01 acre of excavation and fill. Please see enclosed copies of the Pre-Construction Notification (PCN), permit drawings, stormwater management plan, and design plans for the above referenced project. The Categorical Exclusion (CE) was completed in June 2014. Copies were distributed shortly thereafter. Additional copies are available upon request. This project calls for a letting date of April 21, 2015 and a review date of March 3, 2015. The project schedule may be advanced if funding becomes available. Regulatory Approvals Section 404 Permit: Under current design, a Nationwide Permit 3 is applicable for the jurisdictional impacts associated with this project. Neither written notification to nor written concurrence from the USACE is required. NCDOT will comply with all conditions and descriptions in the attached Permit Drawings, 404 General Conditions, and 401 Standard Conditions. A permit modification may be required if any of the above conditions and descriptions cannot be met.
