Dear Ms. Manuel:
This letter is in response to required action items identified by Mitch Hayes
during his on- site inspection performed on September 27, 2022 at our Lee
Main Campus. Action items are as follows (College responses are in red):
1. Currently there is no Grease Control Program. This program is required per
15 A NCAC 02T 00403 (a) (8). Please ensure the College adopts a Grease
Control Program. The College is currently developing a Grease Control
Program and it will be implemented by 11/30/2022.
2. There are 7 pump stations in the collection system. All pump stations were
inspected. The following are a summary of the inspections:
a) Large Animal PS — There is no identification signage. Temporary signage
will be in place by 11/15/2022. Quotes are being obtained for permanent
signage and will be installed when delivered from vendor.
b) Keller Health Building PS — There is no identification signage. Temporary
signage will be in place by 11/15/2022. Quotes are being obtained for
permanent signage and will be installed when delivered from vendor.
The visual alarm is behind a wall and is not visible to the public.
. Please raise this alarm so that is visible to the public. Visual alarm Tight will he
elevated above the wall by 11/15/2022.
The on -site generator was not tested because power to the pump station could
not be disconnected. A power down test was performed on 10/ 19/2022 and
the backup generator started and ran as required.
c) Lift # I Science Building — There is no identification signage. .
Temporary signage will be in place by 11/15/2022. Quotes are being
obtained for permanent signage and will be installed when delivered from
vendor.

e) Lift # 4 — The identification sticker was faded and needs to be replaced.
Temporary signage will be in place by 11/15/2022. Quotes are being obtained
for permanent signage and will be installed when delivered from vendor.
f) Maintenance Building — There is no identification signage. Temporary
signage will be in place by 11/15/2022. Quotes are being obtained for
permanent signage and will be installed when delivered from vendor.
