I did receive this information and put it in our database but I do not conduct a review. Someone else in the Division may
however, and I have copied them on this email.

Good morning Shelton,
I was wondering if you'd had a chance yet to review the Flea Hill Prelim JD application I sent you a while back. It's that
EEP stream mitigation project that Eric Kulz originally worked on as part of the IRT but left before we had completed this
part of the process. I received approval from Tyler Crumley of the Corps of Engineers last week and just wanted to
follow up with you to see if you had any questions. Feel free to give mea call at919-219-6339if you'd like to chat about
Thank you very much,
Scott

Good afternoon Shelton,
I'm working on the Flea Hill Ditch EEP restoration site in Cumberland County and I've been searching for who new DWR
contact person would be for the project now that Eric Kulz is no longer there. Ginny Baker has informed me that you are
the person I need to contact. I just completed a preliminary JD application for the project and have sent it off to Tyler
Crumbley of the Corps for review and we also send a copy of the application to DWR as well (usually to Eric as he was
the IRT rep for most of the EEP sites) for their review and acceptance of the perennial /intermittent /ephemeral calls,
etc. This was a pretty straightforward project —just an incised ditch through a farm field. Feel free to contact me or
Tyler for any specific questions about the site (or Eric I guess if he's not too busy over at the City of Cary!). And is the
following mailing address for you accurate?
NCDENR — Div. of Water Resources
401 And Buffer Permitting Unit
c/o Shelton Sullivan
1617 Mail Service Center
Raleigh, NC 27699 -1617
Thank you very much,
Scott King

PS If you would like an electronic copy as well I can put one on our FTP site for downloading at your convenience. Just
let me know.

Hi Scott,
Were you on the MT closeouts most recently? I know I have met a Scott over at Baker more than once.
Will I am the contact for email but since I work in a different unit and everything gets checked -in over in Eric's old group
you could instead send hard copy project info to Shelton Sullivan in the 401 & Buffer Permitting Unit (anything sent
there I will get and review if it is an EEP project). Soft copy project info you could send to me and CC Shelton until Eric is
replaced.
If you are on any bank projects our regional staff would be your primary contact again until Eric is replaced (later this
year????).
Ginny

Hi Ginny,
Thanks for following up with me! We actually met a while back at the Browns Summit EEP restoration site in Guilford
County (in April) when you accompanied Eric Kulz in representing DWR in the IRT. I'm now working on the Flea Hill Ditch
EEP restoration site in Cumberland County and I've just been wondering who new DWR contact person for the project
now that Eric is no longer there. I just completed a preliminary JD application for the project and have sent it off to Tyler

etc. This was a pretty straightforward project —just an incised ditch through a farm field. Feel free to contact me or
Tyler for any specific questions about the site (or Eric I guess if he's not too busy over at the City of Cary!). And if you
are, in fact, the correct person to send this to would the following address be accurate?
NCDENR — Div. of Water Resources
Transportation Permitting Unit

Raleigh, NC 27699 -1617
Thank you very much,

Hi Mr. King,
Cyndi Karoly asked me to follow up with you on the Flea Hill Ditch EEP restoration project. I was not out at the initial site
review as Eric was. I am the DWR contact so feel free to follow up with me on anything and I will try to help. His position
probably will not be filled until late in the year or next. I am out the rest of this week, but will be available all of next.
Thanks,
