The basin volume will be monitored and if the water surface approaches capacity, the water wilt be
pumped down, after settlement, using tankers and transported to an appropriate disposal facility,
Depending on efficiency of settlement, a flocculent from the NC DWR list of approved PAMS/Flocculants
may be used to promote settlement within receiving facility limits for total suspended solids.
Once all necessary dredging is complete and the dredged material has been adequately dewatered, the
materials will be tested to determine if suitable for onsite use as a beneficial fill or cover soil
supplement, if the dredged is not suitable for onsite use the material will be disposed of in an approved
landfill.
Again we do not expect to have any return water and this PCN is being submitted only as a precaution.
