Dear Mr. Powell:
The final plans and specifications for the subject project have been
reviewed and found to be satisfactory.
Authorization is hereby granted for the construction and operation of
modifications and additions to the existing 10 MGD wastewater treatment
plant with no increase in plant capacity by the addition of chemical and
biological phosphorus removal and sludge dewatering equipment to consist of
a 10 MGD phosphorous removal tank and aerated distribution channel; a 10 MGD
dual media,.traveling bridge, automatic backwash effluent filter; and alum
storage facility with dual 10,500 gallon storage tanks, a 120 gph feed
pump and shelter; a 30 foot diameter reactor clarifier; an 855 gpm reactor
clarifier with two (2) pumps; a belt filter press facility with dual 2 meter
belt filter presses, three (3) 60 to 200 gpm belt filter press feed pumps, a
7832 square foot 2-story belt press building; a 63,500 gallon sludge blend
tank, a 200 gpm sludge transfer pump, and a polymer storage, mixing and feed
system; sludge stockpile area; and associated site work, yard piping and
electrical work.
Do not proceed with construction until the Authorization -to -Award
package, EEO, and MBE documentation/certification have been reviewed, and
you are in receipt of our approval, if Federal funding is desired for
project construction.
