Due to the fact that there are no impacts to jurisdictional streams or wetlands, the Corps has indicated that there is ‘no
permit required’ for the replacement of Bridge # 33 over Ahoskie Creek on NC 42 in Hertford County. Therefore there
will be no corresponding 401 issued for this project. However, compliance with the conditions of General Permit –
NCG01000 is still required to ensure compliance with state water quality standards and the NPDES requirements of the
Clean Water Act. Should impacts to jurisdictional resources occur and/or the Corps requires a permit, please notify this
office as a 401 Certification may be required. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks.
