The increase is only 3.6" to the crest of the weir openings of the structure to make the spacing between the 4" orifice
and the weir opening 12 ".
The existing drawdown time was 2.1 days. The proposed drawdown time is 2.8 days.

I'm generally ok with this change without seeing more detailed drawings /calcs but do want to know how much this
change increases drawdown time. A 12 -inch increase is rather large. What is the current drawdown time compared to
proposed from the existing and proposed spillway elevation to orifice invert elevation? This change could impact
wetland vegetation if outside of the normal 2 -5 day drawdown window. Thanks.

I spoke with Zak Pierce on Friday about this project whereby they want to make a revision to an outlet structure of a
BMP. For really small changes, we typically don't make people go through the whole 401 process again but just make a
note in the file (assuming the change is okay). Would you mind looking at the change he proposes to see if it's
acceptable? An email is generally all we would send. Just let me know what you think and thanks.

Hi Cherri,
Thank you for your call today to discuss the minor revision to the existing stormwater wetland BMP outlet structure at
the Wake County Continuum of Care site (now called WakeBrook). The permit number is 09- 0312v3. I have attached
three site plans (overall plan, existing conditions /demo plan, and a grading plan), the stormwater narrative and the
latest permit for this site for easy reference.
General note #12 on sheet C301- Grading states the proposed revision to the structure. The narrative further describes
that this modification ensures the compliance with the City's pre -post requirements.
The City of Raleigh stormwater reviewer has requested an approval from your department documenting this revision.

Can you please provide an approval letter or document?
