This facility is requesting permit renewal. There have been no changes to the type or
volume of waste being treated, nor to the treatment system components.
COMPLIANCE
There are no serious compliance issues. There have been no enforcements ever issued against
the facility. During the last permit cycle, the facility received two NODs and four NOVs.
AMMONIA LIMITS
In July 2016 the NPDES program began implementation of revised ammonia criteria based
upon the potential for toxic impacts from ammonia. As permits are received for renewal (or
major modification), ammonia limits will be calculated as per the 2016 memo and
implemented.
The permit's existing ammonia limits are stricter than those resulting from the NH3 calculation
spreadsheet. To prevent backsliding concerns, the existing ammonia limits will remain
unchanged.
