Re: Soils evaluation performed on 36+/- acres, Intersection of Nursery Rd and Taylor Rd
Dear Mr. Faircloth,
FAk soils evaluation, performed by soils auger, was completed on the above referenced property
on January 17, 2021. The purpose for the evaluation was to determine the ability of the soil to
r.upport subsurface wastewater disposal systems. All ratings were done in accordance with
"Laws and Rules for Sewage Treatment and Disposal Systems, 15A NCAC 18A.1900".
The tract was evaluated by auger borings and landscape position. The soils were ranging from
loamy sands to sandy clay loams to sandy clays. Loading rates for these soils should be .4.8
gpd/sqft. Unsuitable soils were due to shallow depths to soil wetness, parent material, or
expansive clays. Systems may be conventional, accepted, or innovative. Systems may require
additional cover and a pump to overcome elevation depending on house location. Lots must be
evaluated on an individual basis before recordation.
This report does not guarantee or represent approval or issuance of permits as needed from the
local health department. This report only represents my professional opinion as a licensed soil
scientist. Permits will only be issued if the local health department staff concur with the findings
