PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The proposed utility improvement for this project consists of the extension of an
existing gravity sewer line to extend services along David Parnell Street in
Parkton, NC. The extension will server six new residential lots located along
David Parnell Street. The propped sewer line will start with a "dog house" man
hole being install over an existing 8-inch sanitary sewer main that connects at a
sanitary sewer manhole located in David Parnell Street to existing sanitary
sewer manhole located in Magnolia Street. From the dog house man hole the
proposed extension will extend 520-LF East along David Parnell Street and dead
end in a proposed sanitary sewer manhole.
FLOW ALLOCATION
The proposed project is being built to serve six single family residential lots. Per
North Carolina Administrative Code, Title 15A, Subchapter 2T .0114 Wastewater
Design Flow Rates for a 3 bedroom house the minimum volume shall be 240
gpd. The total minimum flow for this extension is 6 x 360 gpd = 2,160 gpd.
