Dear Mr. & Mrs. Chavis:

On March 26, 2013, Belinda Henson and Mike Lawyer with the Fayetteville Regional Office of the Division of Water
Quality -Surface Water Protection Section conducted a site visit at the subject facility to make observations of actions
completed to address violations of North Carolina General Statutes §143-215.1(a)(1) and (a)(6). The time and assistance
provided by you and Mr. Tim Chavis is greatly appreciated. The following observations were made at the time of our site
visit.
• A shelter has been constructed over the wash pad.
• Wash water now enters a screened pipe directed into an in -ground 2,500 gallon concrete tank that will be pumped
out as necessary with the collected wash water taken to a pond on your property.
• The outlet through the berm along the adjacent channel has been eliminated.
A recommendation was made to add more dirt to the area of the berm where the previous outlet was located and provide
vegetation to stabilize the berm and the area surrounding the wash pad.
Our office appreciates your efforts and timeliness in responding to and resolving this matter. If there are any questions or
we can be of any assistance, please contact us at 910-433-3300.
Sincerely,
vrwlto JJ9'LeinoovO
