On the southern terminus of the platform, the applicant is proposing a 3' by 12' aluminum gangway connection to a 6' by 20' floating platform. The water depth within the proposed boatlift area is -1.0' nlw. Brad Connell October 6, 2022 Morehead City Field Investigation Report: Hanson Page 3 Anticipated Impacts: This proposal would not pose a hazard to navigation. The proposed docking facility would extend approximately 550' waterward of nhw, and 40' waterward of the shoreline into this 188'- wide tributary. This proposal would impact shallow bottom Primary Nursery Area habitat, as the proposed boatlift would be sited in a location with -1' nlw. The proposal would shade 1,020 square feet of high ground, 3,300 square feet of Coastal Wetlands, and usurp 2,360 square feet of Public Trust Area. Traditional marine construction methodology would be utilized during the construction of this project. Turbidity impacts are not anticipated during the construction activities within Harlowe Creek. This waterbody is classified as a Primary Nursery Area. There is no SAV habitat present within the project area. This waterbody is closed to shellfish harvest.
