A few questions come to mind and clarification is needed: 1. Was the spray irrigation system operating at the time of the malfunction?; 2. Approximately what time was the malfunction discovered andfor how long did wastewater flow into "B" field from the time the malfunction was discovered till the time the malfunction was resolved so wastewater could return to the sump?; 3. What is the estimated volume of wastewater that flowed into "B" field during this event?; 4. How was wastewater managed at the manufacturing plant during the "float malfunction"? 5. Once the malfunction was discovered, did the plant continue to discharge Wastewater to field "B"? 6. When will the malfunction be corrected? 7. From my few visits, what and were is wastewater stored prior to spraying and what is Campbell Soups storage capacity? Campbell Soup Supply Company is;still investigating the. incident." The preliminary thought at this time is we had an issue with the floats becoming intertwined in the sump. The plant will return all wastewater to the main pumping station where it will be routed through the spray irrigation system. The influent pipe (center column) on the DAF unit acquired a rupture due to wastewater erosion and corrosion in the line.- The pipe is currently being disassembled and repaired. This has resulted in a by-pass of the DAF tank with little effect on our spray irrigation site. You will be notified immediately once the system in back in operation.
