NPDES permit NC0066320 is hereby rescinded, effective immediately. This message is to close the
permit file for the Division, and for your records.
If in the future you wish to discharge wastewater to the State's surface waters, you must first
apply for and receive a new NPDES permit.
PLEASE NOTE: as part of the Division's conversion to paperless communication, this email is the
only notification you will be sent regarding the permit rescission. No hard copy will be mailed.

This is the last email I could find about the permit. I believe Non -Discharge was asking some questions about the
wastewater coming from the cooling tower in regards to the non -discharge permit WQ0002005. I have no objections to
rescinding the permit.

Hey Helen,
I measured the water coming from the cooling towers at our Rose Hill Plant today and it showed that it is around 1800
gallons a day. A lot of this water is coming from the #2 cooling tower that is leaking. We have ordered a new cooling
tower to replace it; it is supposed to arrive the first of March.
We are adding 2 chemicals to the cooling tower water. I called Bill Bowes with Chemtreat (252-945-8522) to discuss; he
is the guy that services the account and cooling towers. He said one quart a day of sodium hydroxide is added to aid as a
corrosion inhibitor and 2 quarts a day of sulfuric acid are added to aid as a scale inhibitor.

The water gravity flows to offal and thus to waste water treatment currently.
