Limits of 23 BOD5, 19 NH3-N, 5 dissolved oxygen, 1,000 fecal, 30 TSS, 6 - 9 pH. A few months later, (1978) those limits were documented to be 30 BOD5, 17 NH3-N, 5 dissolved oxygen, etc. 1983: pipe 001 - o in Tsivoglou equation and remodeling yeilded Secondary limits w/ a 1.0 dissolved oxygen. pipe 002 - boiler blowdown, temperature and pH limits pipe 003 - cooling water, temperature and pH limits pipe 004 - oil storage facility runoff, oil & grease limits pipe 005 - filter backwash, settleable solids, TSS, pH, and turbidity limits 1988: remodeled, (per Region request) and Secondary limits w/ a 5.0 dissolved oxygen were recommended. Later that year, the Region requested the addition of Chronic Toxicity Testing; initially monitoring, then after 6 months a limit of 51 %. 1990: facility tied all outfalls into one pipe, (therefore 001 expanded from 0.100 mgd to 0.200 mgd). Remodeled w/ much longer segment due to high CBOD's and NBOD's, (dissolved oxygen was not predicted to drop below 5.30 mg/I). Facility had been experiencing high NH3-N levels in their effluent and did not have a good toxicity test record. It was assumed that ammonia was the dominating reason for the toxicity failures. Facility had primary and secondary Imhoff tanks, (basically an above ground septic tank) and proposed expansion was for extended aeration package plant. Tedder over -rode the recommended NH3-N limits, (1.4 / 4.9 mg/I) in favor of monthly Toxicity Testing. Instream monitoring was increased; wkly over summer and monthly over winter. A 25.0 µg/I residual chlorine limit was also recommended. DMR's two solids and one fecal violation over past year. facility was under SOC in 1992 Toxicity Testing record very poor Not taking dissolved oxygen measurments w/ temperatures consistently for instream monitoring. Summer months indicates supersaturation. Honeycutt (Operator Certification and Training) visited the facility in 1993 ESB sent letter adressing toxicity problems in 1992 ORC is including hand-written notes as to status of upgrades and toxicity problems, (1994 notes attached) refer: Basinwide / Streamline WLA file at front of files (i.e. set of files directly behind subbasin maps) WASTE TREAT:SENT PLANT UNIT 370 Operating Summary Date S%04 C ornithro.316-t. kotAA Ind AVEK(, 16 1` . pie : 1 a x t'a i 1 t1 ✓ e S ..c. , v lD - L- a Q uJ f .Q !"` i * ik A-811.+tpo sh- covtte41.h j A iv,(p 1 prone o be iiuctwcIu ve w ee•1-0 npie C.I2 Okfv± Ar* R"es4, ce-zotA01/141- S_ ciet„La Attioakt6t, cio WiLk- iNt&C • 6_,464,4a4 --t-L-k 2.44 6 .01-1kb\ a 3 e1 bJ 3 UJ s+ 1.
