- Simpson Turkey/Swine Farm

Dear Mr. Simpson:
- I have, enclosed a Request for Removal Form foryou to sign and mail tithe address listed on the
sheet. Please make it to the attention of Sue Homewood. I visited your farm on May 12, 1997 and verified
the closure of your swine operation. Upon inspection -I noticed that a few of the lagoons need to be
pumped. Also, it appears that there may be some seepage from the "bottom" lagoon from which you
irrigate.
Any further correspondence related to the subject inspection will be sent under separate cover. Also,
please be advised that North Carolina General Statutes provide for penalties of up to.$10,000 per day per
violation as well as criminal .penalties for violations of state environmental laws arid regulations. If you
