(Thank you, Josh, for confirming that the property has a valid Buffer Determination and linking the file and application website! ) I highly recommend attaching a copy of the Buffer Determination Letter Josh linked you to in the application. It contains the USGS Topographic Map and NRCS Soil Survey map, both of which are asked for in the application. You'II also need a buffer impact map to show the amount of impacts in Zone 1 and 2 of the buffer. I've attached an example. You'II also need to know the square footage of impacts in Zone 1 (within 30 feet of top of bank of the stream) and Zone 2 (the area between 30 feet and 50 feet from top of bank of the stream). If you have any questions about the Buffer Authorization forms or process, I'd be happy to help. Please note that the Raleigh Regional Office is experiencing a high volume of applications, and it may be up to 60 days after the application is submitted before it is reviewed. Thanks! Can you clarify if we still need to get permission granted? Or can we use this? Thank you! Susan Hickman has said the "project is subject to the buffer rules, work appears to be in the buffer. Contact DWR to see if they will grant a variance to build in the buffer. If permission is granted, submit DWR paperwork." I have attached a completed Buffer Determination Request form for the project. Please let me know if you need additional information or if there are any additional steps needed to be completed. I appreciate your assistance. Thanks so much! Hope today is super!
