Inspection Summary:
Site visit conducted in response to submittal of rescission request in order to verify that industrial activities have ceased and
all exposed products/materials removed from the site. Met with Doris Sampson, Property Manager, and Cleve Collins,
Environmental Manager, both formerly with AERP and now with Phoenix Lumberton Industrial Investors LLC, which
purchased the property on 6/30/2022. According to the facility contacts, all industrial activities/operations that were
conducted by AERP ceased around June 2021 and all exposed wood products/equipment were removed from the site by the
end of July 2022. Per onsite discussions, the new/current property owner will lease portions of the building to other
companies for warehousing and distribution, subsequent to some building renovations. Observations made at the time of the
site visit confirmed that all stockpiles of logs, old railroad ties, and sawdust/wood chips/bark have been removed. Some
residual wood chips/sawdust has been spread out in areas to serve as ground cover. Based on the site observations made,
coverage under the NCG210000 permit can be rescinded.
