Be advised, and please advice the farmer, that if there is a change in use of the property the road (and culvert) serves, then a permit may be required from the USACE. Craig Craig J. It depicts an approximation of the culvert just to give you physical location reference. It is Stream 5 in the permit application. A landowner, a farmer, has requested a culvert be placed as the pipeline moves through - as a matter of convenience. The culvert will be 20 -feet long and 30- inches in diameter. Placement of this culvert will allow the farmer to access the field to the east easily without crossing the equipment in the stream. Currently it looks to me to be in hay - however, he plans to put cattle out in the near future. Please note the location of the culvert is only approximate and will be determined by the farmer. I doubt it will be right over the centerline as it could cause issues with pipe integrity. It will however, be placed within the new 50 -foot ROW. If you need something more formal - please let me know. Let me know what you decide - they are very close with final cleanup and would like to do it in the very near future. Thanks! Gotta get that wording right. From what you have told me, this would qualify as an agricultural exemption. I just need the information to place in the folder. Incidentally, David Bailey (Acting Chief in our field office) agrees that it would qualify for an exemption. Craig Craig J.
